THE BRIEF : Botanical Gardens, Ornate Tiles, Sour Colour Palette
The Harlequin Concept includes a three piece invitation set consisting of a Diamond tile design primary invitation, a Custom Scallop Diamond Details Card and a Custom Rose RSVP card.
Every part of this concept has been designed with the end visual result in mind.
Each piece of stationery is layered perfectly to hide the information underneath.
The set is encased in a plain vellum jacket to give the appearance of frosted glass and a Custom Butterfly is used as the closure with the couples initials printed on the wing. The placement has been thought out to look like the butterfly is sitting on the flower underneath.
The colour palette ties together the bright yellow/green stems of new flowers, the dark green leaves of mature plants and tonal pinks and reds to represent petals.
I started this concept with a clear venue in mind - Sefton Park PalmHouse.
A matching menu and Butterfly name card rounded off this concept to take the design from the very beginning to the very end.

THE BRIEF : Fine Art Painting, Vintage Accessories
The Monet concept is heavily inspired by one of my favourite French painters, Claude Monet, in particular his most famous painting - Water Lilies.
As someone who studied Fine Art alongside Graphic Design I never lost touch with a traditional way of working and one thing I love is a lot of high profile galleries and museums have a public archive where you can access pieces of art including a number of Monet paintings.
Once I chose Monet I leant into a French vintage theme, choosing Domaine Le Mezo, a beautiful chateau in the north of France to set the scene for a full weekend of wedding activities.
This invitation set required a lot of information to be shared so I have experimented with a fan style invitation using softer Long Oval shapes, statement artwork and delicate text. These shapes and colours continue throughout the rest of the stationery including a layered menu and table name card, all attached with vintage pearl paper fasteners

THE BRIEF : Hot Foil Printing, Constellations, Curated Design, Pastels
The Celestial concept was created from my love of the stars and galaxies. It was also inspired by a lot of Autumnal stationery sets I had seen from other designers - however I wanted to put my spin on the brief. Keep the concept contemporary and simplistic whilst adding small areas of luxury and completely changing the end result with an unexpected colour palette.
The Celestial concept invitation suite consists of layering of custom cut shapes with small areas of specialist print adding a level of glam and dimensional texture. I chose Arches to layer and display a message to guests with two constrasting card stock colours. The set is completed by a custom star to RSVP.
Keeping with the pastel theme I chose a bright Lilac envelope and chromatic pink envelope liner to carry through the constellation theme.
And for the day itself personalised long arch menus also finished with luxury Hot Foil Printing in silver to tie all the stationery together.

THE BRIEF : Amalfi Coast Destination Wedding, Passport Keepsake
The Amalfi concept was born from the trend of Passport style wedding invitations. I wanted to take this one step further by creating every single item of stationery with the location in mind. A bright Mediterranean coastal colour palette was chosen with complimentary blues with pops of yellow and orange.
The invitation suite consists of a traditional worded invitation inside of a folded passport card, a mock boarding pass including all of the wedding itinerary for the weekend ahead along with a QR code rsvp. Also included is a small menu for guests to choose their meals, a personalised lemon cut name tag for invited guests, and an illustrated envelope liner.
The set includes a lot of themed illustrations e.g. a custom passport travel stamp, map and food illustration for the reverse of the menu so guests can keep this as a keepsake art print. Small illustrations relating specifically to your wedding location, venue or day itself help to elevate any style of stationery.

THE BRIEF : Traditional Japanese Artwork, The Art of Kintsugi
This concept is a nod to family heritage. I have also always loved traditional Japanese illustration and Woodblock prints. The aim with this concept was design around artwork and keeping that the main focus of the stationery, meaning the text part of the design was more reserved.
The art of Kintsugi is mending broken pottery with gold with the aim of strengthing an item that was once broken - it represents renewal, resilience and showcases the beauty of imperfections.
And whilst I have not mending any pottery I wanted to include metallic gold elements to honour this artform.
This concept consists of a bold artwork focused Save the Date with minimalistic text, an Invitation set which has been kept completely chromatic using only tones of red. The two piece invitation set is kept together by a brassy gold textured cord and finished with a metallic gold wax seal.
The personalised menu follows the same theme including the pops of gold and layering of different textures.
Whilst I have used existing artwork I did create my own small illustrations in the same style of Woodblock prints - the key features of this style are thick outlines and using simple lines to create the look of texture.

THE BRIEF : Delicate Neutral Tones, White Ink Printing, Modern Luxury
The Chocolate & Lace concept had been sitting in my files with a complete text design for a while before I finally decided how to elevate it with other materials and splashes of colour.
The purpose of this concept was to create a functional invitation set packed with information but never looked overwhelming. I chose to steer away from the traditional invitation size and go for a layering of squares and rectangles.
The invitation suite consists of a larger invitation card and smaller details and rsvp response card printed on alternating mink brown and white card stocks. They layer perfectly so the text on the right side is visible at all times - acting a little bit like a post-it tab in a document to find your place.
I thought about varying ways to encase or secure this invitation set but ultimately chose a simple satin-silk ivory ribbon to tie all pages together making the suite easy to flip through.
